So far today I have had my nipple bitten, fired the nanny, and eaten cold pizza. My attire consists of yoga pants and a tank top (AKA PJs). Most days I brush my teeth and bathe but today is not "most days." Making it out of my PJs is not something I typically accomplish, so I won't try to act like it is. It took a couple of hours for me to notice I had cake icing on my face from the piece I shoved in my mouth like I was at my wedding reception. If you eat it all in one bite, the calories don't count, right?
Also, already today, I had a mom of a boy near the age of mine, continuously one up me in what I thought was just a conversation. Seriously, I don't give a fuck if your kid rolled over, crawled, or recited Paul Revere's ride before mine. P.S. Don't call me anymore. I don't like you anyway and I'm tired of acting like I do.
I work from home. No, that does not mean that I have the day to clean and bake(although I did make a boxed cake yesterday morning). Working in real estate is all I have known for the last 13 years so it only seems fitting, at this point, that I can do it in such a dressed down fashion while wearing my baby in a Tula carrier. It's a good thing my clients can't judge me on appearance or I may just be broke. Or maybe rich as I am sure they have never had someone work with their finances while nursing.
Through all the mess and "slobbiness" of what I am every day, I am a successful mother, loan officer, wife, and friend. In addition to the above, today I have closed a deal, played with my son, and talked with a real friend about important issues like why a 41-year-old lives at home with his parents and why he would post pictures on social media of himself fanning out hundred dollar bills. If you live at home at that age, you should have stacks on stacks on stacks.
If you are interested in the realness of life, spouses, kids, problems, realities, joys, ups, downs, funniness, and craziness, this site is for you. I don't sugarcoat anything and am most of the time pretty brash. I don't care what anyone thinks of me and I don't mind telling people to mind their own business. Just ask my mother in law.
